About Illrose

Creative Nation Magazine got a great chance to interview one of the Bit90 Gang’s rappers, the ever so talented Illrose. 

Illrose is a producer from Pretoria who is part of Bit90’s shares his story on Creative Nation Magazine. He explains how he got into producing music, which began with rapping and the need for beats. He talks about the double-edged sword of producing music, as if the song fails, it reflects on the artist and producer. He then explains his printing process, which is different for every artist as it adapts to the artist. He talks about what he finds lacking in the African music industry, which is more focus on the business aspect of music.

He then talks about how to integrate an artist who is unfamiliar with the business of music, and his advice to young women is to do the most they can and know their worth. Finally, he discusses how to spot a scammer or investor, and his advice for anyone trying to make it in the business is to not let anyone tell them they can't do it and keep people around who won't lie to them.
